LEARN MORE ABOUT SCOTT WEITZ SHOW CREATIONS

IT ALL STARTED WITH A PITH HELMET…

I first encountered the creative potential of themed entertainment when I was five years old, and happily I’ve never been the same since. That’s me in the pith helmet outside the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland in the summer of 1968. When Walt Disney let salty pirates sail the Caribbean indoors and served lunch on a moonlit bayou in the middle of the day, I was hooked and had to learn how he pulled off these brilliant illusions.

I’ve spent a good many years since then learning how to conjure up such magic and create themed entertainment in my own unique style to inspire laughs, thrills and screams.

I have applied my extensive experience as creative director and show writer for themed attraction clients including Haunted Desert, Universal Studios, Fairplex and more.  My comedy writing skills contributed to numerous weekly sketch shows at the Improv Olympic West in Hollywood. I’ve also written show scripts, song parodies and built sets for 13 annual haunted attractions in Southern California. My latest credits include creative director and show writer of ELI ROTH’S GORETORIUM, a $10 million haunt attraction in Las Vegas.

This is the most enjoyable, rewarding work I know and I’m inspired by that five-year-old kid’s sense of wonder every time I begin a new project.  Proof that we’re never too old to dream up new and exciting forms of themed entertainment, and audiences never grow too old to enjoy them. The demand exists, so let’s create a great new show your audience will never forget.
